BQM with ipv6

I've had BQM setup and working fine since i had FTTP a few weeks ago. The other day i decided to setup the ipv6 version now that i have it enabled.

The ipv4 shows no issues but the ipv6 seems messed up. I allowed the setup to use the auto-discovered address.

The auto-detect picks up the IPv6 address of your computer, so if you switch it off at night you'll get solid red. You need to use the IPv6 WAN address of your router. It should be somewhere on its setup page.

As suggested you need the reduced form of the IP6 address corresponding to teh WAN address. If I create a new monitor it gives and address in the format:

1111:2222:3333:4444:5555:6666:7777:888 which is my PC and if I power off or change PC that will change.

For teh monitor to work correctly I need to use:

1111:2222:3333:4444::

or a previous install with an alernative router, I had 1111:2222:3333:444b::

Do that and all should be fine ...

Ah, I didn't realise you could ping a block rather than a single device... It would avoid having to edit the BQM after every re-connect (ie not very often) but I think I prefer to know which device is responding!

I've tried my actual static IPV6 address from the router and that is now working.

ipv6 still blows my mind and is taking some getting used to.

In my case I know it is the router as it needs rules adding to the firewall that allows it to accept and reply to the ping.

What does it now look like?

How can you have 24hours of stats with only 1 hour monitoring?
