Thankyou MrSaffron and BT

[link to this post]

Followed your link and posted a message. Nothing to bad, just that I felt the maxdsl was not fit for service and that my speed fluctuated form 420kb to 3995kb.

UK tech support rang me within 30 mins and have been going through settings and speedtest for the last half hour. Apparently there is a fault and they are going to investigate. TOP work ADSLGuide and good on ya BT.

Downstream 1888 Kbps (236.0 KB/sec) 2039 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 244 Kbps (30.5 KB/sec) 263 Kbps (inc. overheads)

I've responded too!
Yes things have stabilised for me but I went through h*ll and high water to get it sorted!
And if it hadn't of been for a UK tech I would still be chasing my tail!

I am NOT entirely happy now but its gotta be better than being stuck with the 2meg bras profile anymore!
Mine had to be manually altered to sort it out!

And when I spoke to the UK tech they had MEMO'S about the problem telling them to log it immediately as a fault!
Yet the call centre don't know a thing about stuck BRAS profiles!

Basically my reply is how UNHAPPY I was with Bangalore and so on etc etc

Update !!

I've just had a call from UK BB tech asking if I was still having connection issues
He got me to do a speedtest at www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk apparently it is more reliable

He's going to look into WHY I am still running with slower speeds than expected for my stats and sync rate and also why I disconnect regular as clockwork every night

And is calling back on monday

THANX Mr Saffron and BT this is better customer service

I to emailed them after having no success with the India call centre, now speaking to an english based support advisor. After over 5 weeks of being capped at 2mb, could BT finally be redeeming themselves.....hopefully they get my connection sorted.

Will keep you posted..

I was asked to plug my router directly into the main BT socket within the house, this did mean me moving the computer from downstairs into the hall, lol. There is another jack hidden in behind the master socket, have to leave the router connected for 3 days. I dont mind to much as at least im talking to an english adviser and he is asking me to do things that bangalore never did, so heres hoping after 3 days i see an improvement.

I've had call backs every day since Saturday when I filled the form in

Spoke to the same guy all three times and my speeds have stabilsed and night time line drop is contention issue

Also he has told me to use the form Mr Saffron linked to to report ANY BT BB issues and that he (UK Tech) would pick up on them and deal with them and NOT call Bangalore

BIG THANX Mr Saffron (Andrew) !!!
