'Total' confusion does seem the name of the game... As an existing Option 3 user I am quite happy to wait and see what happens. There seems nothing in these packages unless you want the IP phone bits, and there are alternatives there of course. The only people who seem to gain are the Option 4 ones with the reduction in price, but I gather even they have to ask for it. 20Gb/month is far more than I need at the moment, so the increase to 40Gb is little advantage (and of course we understand that BT may not be actually able to measure your actual download quota and even then only send you a nasty warning if you exceed it..).

As an exisiting customer using Broadband Option 4 you limit is increased to 50Gb.
If you went to BT Total Broadband you limit would go down to 40gb.

The BT Total Broadband hub is an all in one device. DSL "modem", 2 port switch, one usb connection and wireless. This is free on BT Total Broadband Option 3. You will have to pay for the phone
