ok im on bt max option 4, paying more than people on the unlimited option 3 yet i recieve the same service and still have this 50gb cap?

just got an email saying i had done 62.5gb and would be charged if it continued, i asumed i would be unlimited too saying i pay the same price and recieve the same traffic shaping etc.

do they not have the sense to sort out their packages or atleast to look after their customers?
gona have to shout at some indians now!

I believe you have to ask to be "regraded" to option 3 and be tied into a new 12 month deal

Big Betty (BT or any other major corporation) is like a fisherman,

I won't be..

It seems us old Option 4 users are NOT being throttled at peak times even if we are heavy users. 30p per GB isn't that much to pay extra for anything 'extra' that we might use & there is no way I'm going to enter into another 12 month contract / recieve a crappy HomeHub / etc..

Once BE* have LLU'd my exchange or NTL (Virgin Media) get the 50Mb service running in my area, which shouldn't be too long as the 10Mb service was rolled out quick(ish) then I'll be off.

Been a loyal BTOpenworld / Yahoo / Broadband customer since the days of "Dial Up" Anytime, but it seems that BT have forgotten about long term users loyalty and so they no longer need my custom

I think you're only throttled if you start taking the p**s.

I too have been around since dial up and since I'm no download monkey - I'll be sticking around for a while longer.

As far as I can remember 50Mb NTL/Virgin broadband was pulled due to massive failures and problems for customers trialling it. I know somebody who had a lot of trouble moving back and it was only when they pulled it that he got his problems sorted. Oh and many phone calls/e-mails to the chairman of NTL.

yeah i know its fair to say i have been lazy and havnt regraded. i probably wont have to pay a fee for it either but it will most likely tie me into another 12 month contract.

I am not on the old 2mb option 4, im on the max option 4 that dissapeared off the bt site after about a month. anyway il give them a call and see if i can regrade or get a few
