BT Openworld/Yahoo! ID

[link to this post]

A very long time ago - when ADSL was first born, I had 2MB SDSL service from BT for working at home (only 120/month!!).
With that I had a BT Openworld email account.
This was subbed out to Yahoo! and BT broadband was rebranded BT!Yahoo or something like that.
Since then I no longer have BT broadband, but was still using my Yahoo! ID ([email protected]) for various Yahoo! branded (free) services.
Now BT have suspended my [email protected] account and I can no longer access my Yahoo! stuff.
I can't get hold of anyone from BT Openworld, there seems to be no way of contacting Yahoo! and it seems as if I have lost access to things like flickr, Yahoo!Finance and other random things that I have accessed/joined in the past.

So, after a long ramble, does anyone have any hints about contacting BT to get my account "unsuspended" or Yahoo! to get everything transferred away from my BTOpenworld identity to my new Yahoo! identity?

You need to pay a sub to retain email addresses if you leave BT.

from reading the OP am i right in assuming

you had a btopenworld email addy then moved isp away from BT but continued using your btopenworld addy. Now BT have finally closed it and you want it unsuspended ? did you not read the T & C about your email addy when you ceased broadbandings with BT ? why did you not setup email with hosted excahnge provider or better yet hotmail ? if BT arnt your isp you wont get the address back. Its closed and probably been deleted. Is it even worth your time/money phoning the morons at BT about it only to be told have you turned your antivirus/firewall off ? :S

Thanks - number worked a treat. Didn't solve the whole problem, but at least it was free

I don't want the email facility, I want access to Yahoo! apps that are associated with my BT!Yahoo account, but which I can no longer access as the email account associated with it has been suspended.

As an aside, when broadband was in its infancy, BT promised a free email address for life for everyone...
