Errors and Disconnection

[link to this post]

Hi All,

Suffering lots of drop-offs at the moment. Have gone through the usual routine with replacement HH, "line tests" and various tricks from India. Escalated to another helpdesk with direct access via a different telephone number and a pin number.

They seen to have last grasped the idea there is a line problem. Openreach engineer coming tomorrow. What does anyone deduce from these stats (in test socket)?

i'm in exactly the same boat as you ! i have had massive disconnections since last week i had a engineer out and he did line tests and found nothing, but at the time he came the router was connecting. i have tried 2 different routers and no difference and when mine starts to disconnect it just cycles through sync and online around every 40secs, this may go on until it destroys the profile on the line so much when it does reconnect and stays online it is almost un-useable at 132kbps.

i had a test cable left by the open reach engineer to by pass my internal wiring, but i pointed out at the time that we are plugged straight into the master socket ? so no cabling is connected in the house. mine is still dropping the line 4/5 times a day but not in the end to end cycle.

no idea what it is at the moment. i wont speak to india anymore it just makes the matter worst and when i used to ring there i came odd the phone wound up like a spring CS there is terrable, i now ring a person i know in the chairmans office and she sorts it out for me.

You got a few error on the line their, noise margin and attenuation seem fine for the sync speed you currently have. You would need to get a reading of this just after a disconnection to see whats happening with the line. I presume the speed will also be dropping making browsing slower.
