Re: BT Traffic Management............................

In reply to a post by RobertoS:
Actually I expect it is Southend-on-Sea.

Their STD code (assuming that's still what BT calls it) would imply they're somewhere near Southend.
Having said that, I could get a Southend number if I wanted to (and 01702 41xxxx is not a BT number, so there is a possiblity Vivaciti could be anywhere - but why choose Southend?).
A simple "who is" shows the Vivaciti.com registrant to be in Westcliff (Southend), and gives their full postal address.

The one thing RJ does have a point with (and it's a minor matter, because nobody else seems to care) is Vivaciti don't make it easy to find out their address and/or company registration number via their web-site (of course; they could be a sole-trader, so may not have one).
I too would prefer if all companies selling their wares on the interweb were to have their full postal address details on their front page, but many don't bother.

Like I say; this is a minor point because only RJ seems to be interested in his own ramblings (and as we all suspect, it's because he's still got some score to settle - he's been quite for a while, so maybe May is have a go at the Enta resellers month).

I've already in effect pointed out vivaciti is run by the MD of the IT company also present at the address posted earlier by kimi smile.

What? You've pointed out that vivaciti is a trading name of a company that appears to have been dissolved back in 2006?

I'm sure vivaciti will be along shortly to clear things up.

This is the BT forum and my interest has been raised by a mysterious referrer appearing to be marketing to us BT Broadband customers. Plus an odd trolling interjection by our chum, Zigtec.

If you would like to raise a thread in the Entanet or unlisted forum, I'm sure we would all be delighted to explore the issues further.

This thread seems to be exploring the issues quite well. Of course, if you stopped posting nobody else would have anything to say so the continuing information about another company, which arguably provides a better internet experience for customers than BT, would have been dead and buried long ago.

(Where's this "unlisted" forum you mention?)

You have succeeded in causing a massive thread about it, stemming from a single post that would otherwise have gone largely unnoticed. Ironic isn't it!

Well done. Are you perhaps paid by other companies to ensure their existence is highlighted here?

So what?
Next; you'll be along slagging off Comet for using the Laskys trading name for one of their websites (Laskys having ceased trading years ago).
Or Richer Sounds for using the Empire Direct brand for one of their websites.
Or Shop Direct for starting up a Woolworths branded website.

In the business world (if you actually knew anything about it) it's quite common for company names to continue (albeit in a slightly different form - maybe one word changed or added) after one company closes.
Often it will be one of the directors of the old company who uses a similar name for one of his new companies.
But; like I said "if you knew anything about business" you'd already know that, and wouldn't be making such a fuss.

Some have suggested he would like to have been (but got told to sling his hook), and that is what started all the trouble (in the form of this little revenge campaign Mr RJ starts up every so often).
I haven't seen any evidence of this, but there's often no smoke without fire.
