I shifted to BT a few years ago, so am no longer qualified to compare with other ISPs. From time to time I do have issues, but try to avoid contacting the alleged support function, because whatever level of detail I supply I just get offered the standard responses.
Isn't it time that there was a proper regulator? Ofcom is a joke - far too cosy with the suppliers. There should be the ability to fine really recalcitrant ISPs, just as the rail regulator does.
I have had enough of BT, I knew it was a mistake to go back, something I said I would never do, I wish I listened to myself now.
Things have got worse since our exchange was downgraded to WBC. Disconnections, sky high SNR and speeds lower than what I had before.
What did they say, it was a coincidence, I don't believe in them,. I will stick it out now until January and then look elsewhere, that is if they don't stick this stupid tax on the line.
