BT Broadband engineer - absolutely disgraceful

[link to this post]

I was speaking to a friend yesterday and as usual what happens when you get into a convo with me, broadband will pop up somewhere.

Anyway, he told me that he recently phoned BT broadband up because he was getting poor download speeds (he has very poor line statistics), they sent engineer an engineer round, who deleted a load of his sons music off the PC that he had downloaded, and then claimed that was the reason for the slowdown because "too many files were on the PC". I could not believe what I was hearing!

BT should be totally ashamed of themself for allowing them to send engineers round and tell blatent lies like this to unsuspecting customers.

Absolutely disgraceful, I cannot believe they are doing this.

LOL!

This is a new one on me. I don't suppose your friend got the guys name did he? If so he should be on the phone to his solicitor for some compensation.

I am pretty sure that your friends PC's contents are nothing to do with BT and he should not even have been looking at, let alone deleting files frown

Edit: It is a fact that a cluttered/nearly full drive will slow your pc down to a crawl though smile
