My BT experience (positive)

[link to this post]

Just got BT total broadband 2 weeks ago and things did not start very well as I was disconnected quite randomly and speed would vary quite a lot. I am a web developer and can't afford long downtime or random disconnection I was therefore starting to worry.

I left my concerns in a post on the BT forums, you can see the post here and received a quick reply explaining what was the potential reasons behind the disconnection and my low IP profile after the 10 days stabilisation. I am not going to go in long explanation here (just follow my link above if you are interested) but the end result is that my connection is now rock solid and my IP profile jumped from 6500Kbps to 13000Kbps.

If you read my post on the BT forum and have any question don't hesitate to post in here.

And no I don't work for BT since I am busy enough with my own work but I think it is also important to state that not everything is always bad and doomed, sometimes good things can happen, even with BT smile

I understand your pain but have you considered the following issues:

1. Is your hub away from excessive electrical equipment and power supplies (especially flat screen tv)
2. are you plugged in the master socket or an extension?
3. have you considered adding an ADSL faceplate on your master socket if it is an NTE5 OR disconnecting the ring wire?
