Packet loss HH3 wifi

Had this problem from day one (6months+)....
Sync speed 16meg, no sync/connection drops.

When using the wireless and pinging the HH3, pings are jumping all over the place from 2ms to 2000ms with about 3%+ dropped.

However, when using a wired connection and pinging the router there is no loss.

I have tried several devices (laptop, surface pro, iphones, ipad and ALL are dropping pings on wifi when right next to the HH). iplayer is constantly buffering due to this issue and the connection is essentially unusable.

I have tried different wifi channels had a replacement HH3 but it's exactly the same. It's a constant problem not something that happens at certain hours and I can't see anything that would be interfering.

any ideas appreciated.

What happens wirelessly if you ping bbc.co.uk?

hmm, that's a good question. I will give it a try.

Change to a wireless channel extremely far away. Use 1 6 or 11.

So if you are on 1, change to 11.
If you are on 6 change to 1 or 11
If you are currently on 11 change to 1.

Turn the auto selection off.

It's a long shot but wireless interference could be making things so weird.

I used to have wireless weirdness at times with the HH3, but more associated with connections being refused, all this has been resolved by using an HH4. Well worth the upgrade in my opinion. Full FTTC speeds seen wirelessly too !

Ha, that's funny! I had the exact same experience with the HH2 but don't have the problem with the HH3!

I've nothing but trouble with my homehub.

I've had BT a long time but only used my sky fibre connection - using the BT one say once a month.

I'm now using BT a lot more and the HH is a nightmare for me.
Might buy the HH4 and see if it helps me out.
