Smart Hub - BT WiFi not active

Installed BT Home Hub 6 - performance OK. The hub's problems are:

1 Ethernet connections drop from 1 Gps to 100mps on all of the ports after about 1 hour. Tried new cat 6 cables but no joy with any of my devices.

2 BT WiFi hasn't kicked in after 5 days on the hub. I've tried the "trick" of opting out and immediately opting in for BT WiFi on BT's website but the hub's BT WiFi still remains "Not Active"

Mines not active either and honestly I am glad

I was under the impression that BT have disabled BT WIFI on the smarthub until they have fixed the wireless issues. So it maybe re-enabled in a future firmware unpdate

So you're claiming that BT Wifi doesn't work at all on any BT Smart Hub 6 ?

It worked fine on mine and then did get disabled. Hard to tell why.

mine isnt working either, 2 weeks and my phone is still locking to my neighbors fon by default and dropping out as its a very weak signal, a wasted 20min phone call to bt support today tried to talk me thro altering my phones wifi preferences rather than adressing the no fon from my hh6."you dont want to use fon anyway its slow"
thats a problem as i rather wanted the phone to connect to fon automatically whenever possible now i have to manually connect to my wifi when at home if i need a reliable connection.

Try deleting all the FON networks from your phone then letting it refind them. This should push your private wi-fi network to the top of the list and your phone will then try connecting to that first.
