Hello.
I didn't think it would be so hard to renew my shareholder deal broadband contract.
I have phoned BT on 0800800030 and they say they can't deal with shareholder deals.
I was then given this number...by a BT customer service person...08009170514 which turns out to be the BT shareholder shop and has nothing to do with contracts.
I was then given this number by another customer service person 08081004141...this number just tell you the share price and other info in a recorded message...useless once again.
So dose anyone here know a number I can ring BT on so I can renew my shareholder deal contract?
Thank you.

Yes.
Contacting @btcare via twitter is equally as useless...they don't seem to know either. You'd think I was trying to leave instead of renewing my contract for 18 months.

Is it necessary to renew in order to keep getting the shareholder price?
Oliver.

It should be unmarked as solved if only to let Keith know

I assume so as the original contract was for 18 months. When I 1st took out the shareholder deal they didn't have any TV services included but now you can get the entertainment plus TV package along with infinity 2. I took out the entertainment plus TV package after my original broadband deal started....so I want to move everything over to the shareholder deal...broadband + TV for £28 a month.

I've just unmarked it....I didn't know you could do that as I didn't originally mark it as solved. Cheers

That might just be the minimum term.

I'm beginning to think you might be right as no one at BT seems to have a clue what number I should ring.

It's quite surprising that Keith didn't know as he's a BT shareholder I believe, and a Distinguished Sage

Just off the phone from retention again and they still couldn't give me a shareholder deal but they came up with a better deal for 12 months. Infinity 2 + entertainment plus TV package + HD + weekend free calls for £31.50 per month...I pay line rental in advance.
So all in all I couldn't be happier.
Cheers for your help.

Just remember ,if this is a normal customer offer then you might have to phone up again to get another offer when the contract period is up.

Yes..was told I'll need to phone up this time next year for a new deal....maybe by next year you'll be able to renew a shareholder contract.....but I'll not hold my breath.

Mine has rolled on happily since April 2013. Not had to do anything. I renew my BT Privacy registration every year with a 12 month contract though, to get the free Caller Line Display. The price rises are passed on in full each time; the shareholder deal seems to be a fixed ££ discount from the full price, not a % discount.
