BT Routing issues at the moment?

[link to this post]

Anyone else on BT got any routing issues?

I was all working fine until about 20 mins ago.
Some sites are working like TBB, BQM is getting RED Bars, Twitter and loads of other sites partially load.

*** update ***
Never mind, it came back up and you can see how long it was down viewing my BQM.
Strange I could access these forums fine yet the BQM couldn't connect to my router, maybe the BQM Servers are located else where.

It wasn't just BT that had problems, on down detector there was a load of issues reported across the board

It lasted about 20 to 30 mins, but wasn't just linked to BT, VM was also affected and a few others too.

The funny thing was when I spoke to BT they was unaware of this and was instructed to go to their site to report it, sadly BT's site was also down LOL

I was also unable to connect to our server located in a data centre in France.

I did at one point think it was a DNS issue, but even using the IP directly was failing and tracerouting was failing as it was leaving the BT's network, hence me thinking it was a routing issue.

Now Netflix was working without any issues at all same with these forums, which lead me to it being a routing issue.

About 10 mins after talking to BT it slowly started to come back online, Twitch was partially down for about 40 mins for me, so I got to relax watching Netflix LOL.

BT, VM, PlusNet, Gamma, Zen to name a few. It was like Linx went down or stopped routing or some where like Telehouse went of line but they didn't it was very strange.

Like a major infrastructure provider (Linx Telehouse etc) had issues but there was no problem which I could find on any of them.

It does sound like a short term screw up in the routing tables that either fixed itself or was fixed by someone.

Some one put 0.0.0.0/0 and advertised it in to BGP mistaking a subnet for a wildcard or the likes
