Existing customers upgrading to FTTP offers?

[link to this post]

Thinking ahead slightly, I was wondering what kind of upgrade offers and pricing existing BT FTTC customers were getting when you upgraded to FTTP once available? (And where you were in contract or not)

I negotiated a slightly better deal when I rang BT retentions after my FTTP 2 year contract was due for renewal. A one off payment effectively bringing 500/75 and 700min of calls to nearly £50pm.

Thanks, that's helpful.

Though I was hoping someone could give some insight into what pricing existing BT FTTC customers got to switch to FTTP with them.

I am 12 months into a 24 month contract with BT for their 80/20 FTTC service.

As soon as FTTP became available, I went online to see upgrade options -- the only speed upgrade option I was shown was the 900Mbps service for £45.77 per month, on a new 24 month contract including two free 'Essential Digital Phones' for the Digital Voice migration. Installation next week.

It's been a couple of years, and our area was done under BDUK,.
Existing in contract BT customers had to upgrade to a 'ultrafast' product to get FTTP.

Interesting, a relative whose minimum contract had finished, now has FTTP available.

Like you, they only one option online to upgrade speed (to 900Mbs) but for £67/month!
