Thinking of joining BT

I have a very poor line. 60dB ish attenuation although SNR is great!
I am with Virgin now. Before Max I had 1.1M sync and got speed test results constantly around 900K. Now it is rubbish and Virgin are incapable of sorting it out. Opinions on if I would be better off with BT would be appreciated.
