speed issues

can somebody give me a idea on what speed i should be getting.I have been on bt total since the 4th of oct and since then have been getting a top downstream of 3.5 and up of 350.Have been told by people on this forum to wait 4 days to get my bras profile to get my sync speed.Just done a test on the btw speedtest and it come back as getting 2.2 kbps,does this mean this is the top speed i can expect or have i got the wrong end of the stick.

Do a BT speedtest at speedtester.bt.com and post the results here. Also go into your modem/router and get your line stats inc sync speeds.

It took four days to get my line up to speed, and since then it has been fantastic, consistent, fast and reliable.

I am a happy BT customer. (yes we do post as well)

whoops sorry folks put reply in wrong post, tried to use bt speedtester this morning but its having tech probs.Before i posted last night i used it and got the 2.5 meg figure from it.I am using the bt hub so how do i get my stats,bear with me as i ain,t the most savvy tech person.

just tested on the bt speedtester and got these stats

Ip profile is 5500kbps
Dsl connection rate 448kbps upstream Downstream 6784kbps
Actual ip troughout test = 4952kbps

Seems like ok figures what do people think

not bad bad at all and very near your sync rate - i'm on 3050kbps sync and get 2400kbps (4kms from exchange)

pleased to hear that ,do you think that these will remain steady after the 10 day trial period.
