Further to my problems last week or so where a new line was signed up for BT Total Business BB 1000 rather than Max for some reason best known to BT I have tried to get another site upgraded today and hit a brick wall

The site in question is still on BT Business Plus 500 Engineer Install and paying

Escalate it to the Department Manager - if the person you are speaking to will not help (probably due to their procedures) get him(Her) to escalate it. They should be able to check on te charity status. The alternative is to write and cancel, whilst at the same time order a new connection!

Yeah I really cant let them go without an internet connection seeing as its a learning centre and they have courses that depend on it. I've submitted the request online now so we'll see what happens but I am quite tempted to go to the CEO and complain about that and the fact that they have been left on a legacy product and still paying

Problem is that is what their contract is for. If BT were to move people off legacy products and people want to be left on legacy product they will get complaints. Their is no real happy medium there.

why not write to

Sir Christopher Bland
Chairman
British Telecommunications plc
81, Newgate Street,
London, EC1A 7AJ

(on headed paper if they have it)

And you should get it sorted after a week or so.

The easy answer to that is to write to them and offer them a new 12 month contract under this price band, its good enough for mobile phone co's and then you are tied for another 12 months so another win for BT.

TBH I am so fed up with these 2 problems and they make me look bad when they screw it up that I am seriously thinking about just getting a MAC from them because of it.

Well I was thinking about changing the security question to:

What is the CEO of BTs email address

Do you think that might get the attention of the operator?

But you cannot get a MAC without the security question.

Also, the charity must take some responsibility for not ensuring that details such as the answer to the security question was recorded somewhere.
