BT Yahoo Email

[link to this post]

I'm looking to migrate from BT Broadband soon and wondered what will happen with my BT Broadband email accounts.

I've been with BT since it was called BT Internet on dialup, then took up BT Broadband ADSL in 2002. I continued to use my BT Internet email address on BT Broadband (as email wasn't part of the package at the time) until sometime in 2004 (if I remember) when BT Yahoo gave you 5 email addresses as part of the same package.

I'm still on the old BT Broadband Option 2 package (fixed 1mb line with 20gb allowance) with my 1 main BT email account and 4 sub accounts (maximum of 5 allowed).

Will I loose all access to my BT Internet email accounts?

Hi,

As far as I know you don't lose your email addresses. When you cancel, you get downgraded to a PAYG account so the email addresses will still exist.

They may have some clause saying you have to dial up at least once in a 90 day period to keep the account up and running, although I may be wrong!!

Thanks,
Chris

You can also pay about ?1 or ?2 per month for "premium email" and that gives you 5 or so addresses.
