Another gem I just noticed.

Previous to signing up with BT, all of the checks I did with BT Broadband checker and other companies checkers stated I should be able to get 'up to 6.5Mps broadband'

Now, Ive just checked with BT Broadband checker and it says I should be able to get 'up to 2Mbps'

Something is going on. I signed on the basis of their original checks of 6.5Mbps now Im told 2 Mbps

Mine says the same, but before I got upgraded to 8mb, it said I could get up to 6.5mb.

Once you have 8mb Broadband on the line, I dont think that checker can differentiate, between the new 8mb and the original 2mb, so it gives the basic 2mb speed.

Their broadband checker is pretty unreliable.
I do think you can still improve you're line, by checking filters, making sure they are good quality, trying you're router in the test socket, unplugging all wires execpt 2 and 5 in you're mastersocket and extensions or possibly buying a new router/modem.
