iGoogle widget

If it was not Google, I may be interested, could BT use another company?

Not sure I follow your question Adrian. Any chance you could rephrase it?

I see what you mean.

BT-Care posted a sticky, iGoogle widget - The Official BT Gadget.
What I meant is that I would be interested in the features if it was not a Google widget.

Maybe they could make a Vista widget version.

When I click the link provided I just see "The trial of the BTCare gadget has ended, thank you for your feedback." and has been like that from the time the link was posted

I only looked at the info, I thought the widgets was the type that saty on your desktop, but found out that you got to have a Igoogle page.
Now that kind of widget would be of use if it was on the desktop, easy way to get phone numbers instead of going to the web page.

If I had to go to the Igoogle page every time I wanted to use it then I may as well go to the BTweb page.

I do have Igoogle as my home page, so thought I'd have a look at the gadget, but it was out-of-date from the time BT_Care posted the link... but then seeing as it's BT I'm not surprised and had a little smile to myself thinking "Typical"

I wonder if they had a problem with it?
The cached Google page doesn't mention it being a 'trial':

"The Official BT Gadget: Get the best of BT.com, including phone number look up, BT support and advice for products and services, and latest TV content from BT Vision."

I despair! I worked for BT for 40 years man and boy and so have a vested interest in the company which, less face it, has undergone massive changes over the years. I posted how pleased I was to see BT actively involved with problems being posted on this site and then I see the the iGoogle widget sticky posted by BT Care and all hope fades.

Have they actually looked at this link?? Do they really think it is good PR?? Do they think the comment posted is going to sell this app?? And if the link is incorrect who checked its validity??

For goodness sake stop shooting yourselves in the foot BT and stop me turning into zyborg47 ;0)

I've been trying to do some stuff on the BT site recently like checking available upgrades, etc. and almost every thing I try to do - I get 3-4 clicks in and end up on a dead page for one reason or another, often incorrect links or server side script errors... its not exactly inspiring.

'They'll' read these threads eventually and remove the sticky...
