sunday morning and i suddenly find my ip profile has been lowered to 5400 but sync speeds remain 8128/448 and as u can see from the speedtester results something serious has happened here ... ouch

im particularly interested in the assured rate thing that says 1600kbps when yesterday it was just 600k but my ip profile was 7150 .. please help because nothing like this has ever happened before and i havnt even used my connection since yesterday evening

Looks like you had a low sync event and the line is (slowly) picking itself up again - anything can cause this, boiler going on/off, economy 7 signal, christmas lights switching - typical for this time of year, thunderstoms and so on.

Aslong as it was a one off event the line _should_ pick itself up again within the next 24-72 hours and within 5 days worse case... however sometimes the BT profiling system gets in a jam needing a forced reset.

Tho the assured rate throws a bit of a spanner in the works as the IP profile before and after with the change to 1600 for assured rate almost fits the change in numbers... BT Vision gearing up for HD? but that shouldn't have such a change in the line speeds.

BT Vision usually needs 2Mbps even for SD material, so HD will be even higher
