i had it working fine with BT total broadband but i want to give the router to my mate who is on bt internet.. will it work?

No, its locked to BT and I am not aware of a method to unlock the HH2

I have a feeling BT Internet is BT, not sure why tongue

Easiest way would be to try and see if it works.

I mis-read the original post. If their friend is on BT Broadband also there should be no problem.
