Connection speed is still 17.5Mbps and the noise margin is normal, so something strange is wrong somewhere.

Are you checking the speed via wireless or wired? If it's wireless, try wired.

Can you see what a BT Performance Test has to say, and post the full results please?

It's a bit screwy though. It might give sensible results and show a problem, or it might just give garbage frown.

Wired mate heres the bt test info

Download Speed
2568 Kbps

0 Kbps 7150 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed

Download speedachieved during the test was - 2568 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 1000-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :600 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 520 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2500 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 12.18:26.28:61.54 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.

The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

Upload Speed
792 Kbps

0 Kbps 520 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed

>Upload speed achieved during the test was - 792 Kbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 520 Kbps

Those results look nonsense! It's SNAFU! There are many reports that BT Speedtester is screwed up on BT's ADSL2+ (21CN WBC).

As XRaySpex says, that's a load of rubbish, though I have seen many crazier frown.

It's worth raising a ticket or however you report problems on BT.

To be honest I think you will not get far until one of the BT_Care reps that come here see it and get on your case. They are all pretty good, much better than the ordinary support. We might not see one till Monday though.

Sorry I can't help more.

To see why we are saying it is crazy, have a read of my BT IP Profiles page, and compare it with what your router (correctly) says is the connection speed.

Cheers for the help lads, i posted on the bt forums too and they seem to think it might be due to too many resets and my connections been blocked to 2.4mb. Its went back up abit this morning they recommend i leave the hub on 24/7 to allow it to settle. The only thing is as anyone with a v1 homehub will know its not your choice alot of the time.
