500GB Infinity cap?

I rang BT today to cancel my phone line amd CS was trying to persuade me to stay.
During the conversation she said they had increased to Infinity cap to 500 GB and I should join them instead of Virgin.

Is it true has the cap changed to 500GB from 300GB ?

Also worth getting in writing that that minimum cap forms part of the contract otherwise there is nothing to stop them changing it later to a lower cap.

News here as well, and oh BTW they wont even confirm the 300gb cap in writting so dont bother asking for the 500gb cap in writting, basically under the terms and conditions it simply advises that they retain the right to network manage your connection and for very very heavey users restrcit speeds etc etc.

Of course it could change (can hope) but whilst there's semi-official info written down on 300, there's nothing referring to 500 I've seen?

The cap is likely to be a variable one,

i.e. if 50% of users are using under 20GB a month, then 500GB is fine for 1% of users, but if 50% are using 100GB a month, then the limit may shift downwards.
