Technically ther are right the hub is designed to give access to bb and wirless connections not to allow you to media stream so is fit for purpose, quick question just been to a house to sort some pc issues and sort streaming to xbox what firewall were they using as my people had kaspersky running and the kaspersky firewall allthough supposedly allowing a connection to the xbox wasnt as soon as i disabled the kaspersky firewall streaming was fine.

I tried disabling all firewalls to no avail. But the fact that the problem goes away when you replace the router negates the firewall's influence. For some reason, it appears that the HH2 is applying traffic filtering on its Ethernet ports, rather than just the routed connection to the outside world. Looks like I'll be looking for another ADSL router, and another provider when my current contract expires!

I tried Tversity, thinking that Mediaplayer was at fault, but it uses exactly the same protocol (DNLA), so doesn't work!. As BT are not interested in helping, I am forced into buying a third party router ( The temporary intermediate switch has very noisy fans!)
