Update: having spent a couple of hours on the phone, and the nice lady in India deleting all of my wireless profiles for the customer sites that I visit, I finally persuaded BT to send me an HH3. Having given me a delivery date, I arranged for my daughter to stay in and wait for it.......it didn't arrive! So, after another 45 minutes on the phone I was told that it hadn't been ordered, so an order was placed. The HH3 duly arrived, and it was at this point that i discovered what a valued BT customer i was(n't). The hub was obviously returned stock; the only items in the (tatty) box were the hub and power supply, and no cables instructions etc.
The good news: The HH3 has indeed fixed the DNLA streaming issue, and the wifi no longer locks up.........yay!
P.S. Never let a BT support engineer mess around with your computer. My laptop is my office, and I now have to go back to the IT departments of various customers to get re-connected to their networks...... very embarrassing.
