I have moved from Sky to BT because I have an underground cable problem, When it is raining I have terrible problems with my internet. With sky I used to moan because I only had 7megs instead of the 8 I was paying for. Sky couldn't sort out the underground cable without it costing a small fortune. Now I have moved back to BT. I am lucky to get enough to get on the internet at all. I have attached my signal tests. Please note most of the signal tests are taken using my modem plugged directly into the modem with a cat Rj45 cable. The other good results, with a different ip address are using my laptop wireless on my friends virginmedia account. So if I was you I would stay with Sky, there results were 7. something all the time day or night.What made you think that moving from Sky to BT would sort out a cable problem?
To correct the underground cable problem, an engineer needs to come when it is raining the engineer said or they find no fault and I will have to pay the £160 they said at BT. When my contract is up with BT I am going to use a pay as you go dongle instead because I can
