Re: Thinking of leaving Virgin for BT Infinity?

Sorry to say there is no cooling off period with Infinity.

Once its ordered, you're stuck with an 18-Month Contract.

I suppose that if there is a major problem and BT won't budge, there is always litigation (costs £££).

so your wanting to leave virgins unlimited 50 for bt unlimited upto 40 and pay exactly the same, even if you don't download as much as you used to would'nt it be worth keeping the extra speed for the same price.

i made the mistake of leaving vm thinking i didn't download as much so dont need the speed and i regret it loads because i realised how much i did use it going back in feb (although mine was more 50 to 10 so i do notice it a lot more)

just my 2 cents anyway if you do decide to switch i wish you the best.

it wouldn't be paying the same I'm paying Virgin £45 a month for the 50MB service, i would be paying BT £25-P a month so theres a lot of difference in price, also BT Infinity option 2 is unlimited now.

so your still paying the old price? 50meg hasn't been £45 for about 2 year its 25 with there phone and 35 without (info fromthe website plus i had it 1.5 year i paid 25) so if you paying 45 id ring VM up and demand a hell of a lot of money back off them.

yes my 12 month contract ran out in February 2011 still paying £45 a month i canceled there phone line in June i think, so you think i should be paying £35 a month thought that was for new customers who didn't take a phone line.

as others have said you should not be paying 45 quid for virgin media 50..

virgin give you the same deals as they do for new customers...

when i was on 50 before i moved to 100....my monthly service charge for 50 got reduced when the new prices came out...

yea if no phone it should be £35 a month weather your new or not, my uncle got 50meg the week it was rolled out here when it was still £45 and as soon as VM changed the prices he was automatic put onto the £25 price change (with phone).
Hes way over his 12 months and still only pays £25 so i dont see why you still have to pay 45 i mean100meg is only £35 with phone £45 without so your paying the 100meg price.

worth a phone call to VM might get a nice rebate and a few months discount or something they tend to do a lot to keep custom.

Thanks for that Ash looks like Virgin will be getting a call from me later on today, not happy about them over charging me since February this year.
