Thanks for all the replies guys / gals.

The weirdest thing has happened - 2 weeks ago, I was eligible for BT Infinity, the BT website was saying I can order it. I even got leaflets and marketing stuff through the door from BT about it being available in my area. Checked last night, it now says I have to wait till 9th Nov 2011 as its not available in the area and therefore I have to register my interest...

Also strange in a sense that the BT Whoelsale website is saying my line is suitable for fibre optic, 27mb down and 6.8 upload.

Phoned BT and they said its deffo the 9th Nov until I can order it. Grrrrrr!

Definitely not a unique occurrence unfortunately. Has happened to people before for whatever reason.

Might be some delay with the fibre itself, or the power. Maybe the ISPs systems are just saying the wrong thing.

Hopefully it'll clear by next month and you can order with BT or whoever you decide.
