Re: Infinity, the nightmare begins ? [again]

Hi MHC,
Been checking Maidenhead each day since the discussion began, but have to say that my results are pretty consistent i.e. 27-36 up and 7-8 down with ping being 20-23 (just now 30.97up/7.85 down & ping of 23). I normally go via the Sittingbourne server, which gives the same sort of results - but with ping being typically 8/9. I think perhaps the problem is with the posters end, and not Maidenhead per se?
Cheers, Les.

Could be the route taken to Maidenhead - he is local as am I but are on different exchanges. I tried it from Scotland - and on a connection which normally gives just 8Mb (ADSL Max) it was down at 3 or 4 Mbps.

South Manchester here - Stepping Hill exchange. To me it appears to be a BT Broadband routing issue, not WBC.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.

I was going to start a new thread (may still do) asking what speeds people get on infinity peak vs off peak. As my current VM service is getting very heavily congested and my exchange is now a FE exchange for FTTC due in 2012 (no month stated).

Obviously I would be going with infinity as there is no competition competing with it on price and usage levels.
