Its called, lets see if the problem is persistent first before really looking into it.

Even with the old BT Wholesale DLM line faults could be looked into during the first ten days if it was clear it was a fault, and not just the margins seeking down.

So your saying if theres a problem they should see it in first 10 days & fix problem.

No. He is (implicitly) agreeing there is no 10-day period on FTTC, and saying that even on ADSLx, if there is an obvious fault they should fix it even within the 10-day period there still is on that.

Wherever you read it was either not to do with FTTC or was someone, (perhaps accidentally), passing on misinformation.

For example - anyone reading your post earlier, "are you still on the 10 day settle in period", would assume you know what you are talking about, and could then post the same to someone else. Having "read it somewhere".

That's one problem with the internet - wrong info becomes truth after 3 repeats.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.

Hi again James, Don't see any problem at all with the extension lead - my HH3 and the router are (and always have been) plugged into one; about 6 feet from the Openreach phone/BB socket.
I think maybe you're thinking of problems with "phone extensions" - they were always problematic with "non -Infinity" BB, but the box BT provides completely isolates the phone aspect - so no probs there. I hope you get the same sort of performance as I do, because it's an eye-opener to be able to do multiple downloads, watch iPlayer and god knows what else without the BB going down or running out of performance!
Cheers again, Les.

Hi

Ask the BT installer nicely and he will put an extension cable in for you so you can have your boxes in the best position for you. Had no problems getting mine installed in the kitchen coz the BT line came into the lounge behind a door and nowhere near a powerpoint!

Hope your installer is just as nice.

Cheers,

Rob

I've got Virgin for another month as they owe me so much money in credits so it will be 'fun' comparing.
