BT Infinity Cabinet Upgrade

Hi, I wonder if someone can help. My local exchange has been upgraded to provide Infinity, but i'm yet to be able to place an order (friends closer to the exchange have been able to place orders). I understand about the issues surrounding availably and street cabinets being upgraded. However, what I believe to be my local cabinet has recently had a new cabinet installed alongside it, though I cannot confirm that this is indeed the cabinet i'm connected to. I've called BT and they were not able to confirm if my area would ever be upgraded at this stage. I have previous found a different forum, with information relating to my postcode shown below.

NDSNO,SNODLAND,ME65SD,{NDSNO}{P17},0,100%,3.15,8a,Yes,FTTC

I would be really grateful if anyone could provide me with an update of whether my postcode (ME6 5SD) will ever be able to receive Infinity broadband.

The information is correct and you will get a FTTC service, the cabinet you have found is it number 17?

Is it one of these, as these two should be 17, though neither show a clear visable number via google street view.

The new cabinet is it humming, if it is it means it has power and is live, if not then the cab is awaiting power and you will not be able to place a order till its live.
When you enter your phone number on the BT Wholesale checker, does it say FTTC is avalible to order on your phone line?

The first link has not had an infinity cabinet installed yet. The 2nd link has had a cabinet installed this week. I don't believe that either of these are the cabinet i'm linked to. The closest cabinet to my house is the link below.

This has had an infinity cabinet installed, albeit across the road. I've not been able to check to see if the cabinet has been connect to power.

When I enter my number the BT Wholesale checker doesn't show FTTC as being available.

That will be the cab for the new estate, im suprised i did not see that one.

Yes, I agree. Never seen that sort of label before! Usually scrawled or stencilled on.

It's obviously a recent policy change. I have seen them applied to the latest new FTTC deployments in my own home-town.

And are you absolutely sure it is a PCP? It could, feasibly, be a small FTTC. Did you photograph that one yourself or was it a contributed image?

So, reviewing your page:

Top row, right-hand end is a big Hauwei FTTC.
Second row, middle is a small Huawei FTTC.
Second row, right-hand end is an ECI FTTC. (Whether that is "big" or "small", I don't know. It is the only type that has, to date, been installed.)
Third row, left-hand end is a bit of a mystery (at present).
