I was lucky I think and got hh2 just before the change over. Then they offered hh3 for £50.

After 3 days of it slowing to a crawl overnight, I finally did the "full factory reset" by sticking a pin in the hole in the back. It's been fine since.

My HH3 was only used while the engineers were installing Infinity, as soon as they left it was replaced by my Airport Exreme Base Station. The HH3 is back in its box.

Oh well,

Restart time again ... down to 2.5 down and 4 up ....

Yes, raised as a fault - engineer been and spent hours checking everything - all just fine, from here to the cab, the cross link between cabs, and back to the exchange,

All just working as it should. And, when he left, 37.5down, 8 up.

From what I see this seems to be a problem with the HH3 - far too many people are reporting the exact same issue.

After a few days, speed drops to 3-8 megs ... up can stay pretty much at 6-7 megs.

Cured by not even restarting the box, just a disconnect followed by a reconnect

I guess all they can do is swap out the HH3 - but if all I'm doing is reconnecting to the internet, and getting a new IP address, then I'm not sure what a change of HH3 would do.

If I was having to re-boot it all the time, then that would be a different matter.

PS - I notice there's now an issue in Newcastle just posted up on the BT site. The area code for York is not listed - but my IP seems to think I am connected to Newcastle (given the shopping ads and google etc ...). So, could be something there affecting me.

Personally, I'd reopen that fault and get it escalated to 2nd line.
