Really? You are away a lot, and would be able to set up adequate UPS and backup/restore facilities? Plus restarts if necessary? What about emergency BT engineer cover and access?

I have never had a home based server fail so yes where as there is a risk they could that risk is low and worth taking given the cost savings. Also if my current leased server goes down when I am travelling I probably wouldn't be able to get it dealt with until I return home anyway, as when I am away I am in meetings.
