The Sim Provide has worked smoothly for some for years now, just that as time goes on the reliability of the process improves. When moving to the same provider for BB and telephone e.g. BT Retail they should generate and use the LORN internally without the consumer worrying about it.

80/20 is in a sort of final beta phase, so the restrictions also help to test the systems, while gaining customers who might have signed up elsewhere.

In reply to a post by CommandQ:
What so migrating from Sky is a lot easier now? I'm asking because I'm looking for re-assurance, there could be a chance that I may want to migrate back to BT retail as I'm assuming they'll be the first to get fibre on demand (hoping the install costs will be in the hundreds and not in the thousands wink).

I can only speak as I found from experience myself but it looks to be a pretty smooth migration back to BT. Your mileage my vary but I didn't have to speak to anyone at BT or Sky, I just let the automated order process take care of things. I was most suprised to see that even my Sky bill reflected the changes straight away so top marks to BT and Sky on this occasion smile
