right have fitted XTE-2005 pre-filtered face plate which has made a huge difference. Now have a sync of 2.8Mbps at SNR 15dB which looks more realistic. IP profile is sitting at 250Kbps

Have spend 4 online chats trying to get the call centre to reset the target margin, last guy said your SNR is high and I will pass it on to 2nd line tech support but it will take 48 hours - 48 hours to reset the noise margin [censored]!!!!

Going to ask the customer how long they've been with BT if they're out of contract I am going to suggest they get a MAC and leave - what a nightmare

DLM is automated. The profile will rise on it's own.

What you MEANT to say there is it SHOULD rise on its own it doesn't always and seeing as IP profile is 250Kbps and sync is now 2.8Mbps I don't think its unreasonable to get it reset. Sync will be a lot higher when SNR isn't capped to 15dB too.
