In your situation I would definitely do a single power down, wait a few minutes, and restart of the modem. With the cable from it to the socket removed and reconnected while it is off.
My reason is the downstream IP Profile, indicating a connection speed of ~14Mbps. That will not change without a restart of the modem. It is just possible that he left things in a mess, and restarting it may sort things out. Not likely, but I would do it.
