BT forcing IP rotation?

today had my ppp session drop whilst no drop of sync, this also changed my ip even tho I have a large ppp timeout set in router meaning I was forcefully logged out of my session.

have others noticed similiar events?

Probably not an IP rotation per se, but a need to reboot some bit of kit forcing a re-authentication.

Not noticed my self, my router has been up for 100 days and I have had the same IP.
