Re: New ADSL2 connection - Slower than my previous connectio

I started it running at 10:46.

I'll keep it running all day and post the graphs as it generates them later.
Its set to every 10 seconds..

The bottom one seems to show most change, but its pretty steady other than that.
I didn't bother with the connection speed ones as they are just the same as before - a straight line.

Not much point in posting anymore graphs, its pretty much the same, noise margin either 30.5 or 31 and connection steady at around 2 meg.

I haven't heard back from anyone at BT/Mods yet regarding the form I filled out last Thursday.
Hopefully I'll hear soon.

Try sending another comment to them. There is an obvious fault and as your SNR is way up and stable, something is wrong or needs resetting.

I've contacted them again, referencing the last one.
Fingers crossed.

Not necessarily! Many routers report 0dB power down on BTw connections.

Your noise margin was quite (not massively) flappy and up and down. It's probably just the router, you often see this on NETGEAR routers? Were you using one of them?

One of my lines never varied between between 0.1db whereas another could change +-4db.

Looking at the line with a complete flat SNR is normal on plenty of lines. It probably goes down a little overnight.

It just means your line has more noise / your router is reporting more.
