How about attenuation?

can`t see it anywhere on the logs, this is the full wan listing from one page, no where does it say, unsure why i got so many disconnects as my BE line never kept dropping like this does, but it dont affect speed

Yeah, BT use 38 unless they've changed it recently.

Not really! As was pointed out, it lacks the attenuation, the principal parameter that determines your top speed.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC

Now if you could remember your stats on Be or find them posted on TBB, that would be a good start.

Sounds a bit too high. 45dB is good for about 7.2 Mag sync speed and you would never have got the 10 Meg you said earlier that you once got on Be.

Your speeds are more consistent with a 41dB attn, but it's in the right ballpark.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC
