That is neither news or vipbox

So what makes vipbox so much different from First Row Sports?

Neither was First Row Sports three weeks ago, so I'm surprised you think vipbox is immune from being blocked.

I will leave you to carry on the useless debate.

The contract side only kicks in if you want it on freeview or sky or bt tv.

Confusing as so many viewing options

And just to avoid confusion it is *not* available on Freeview.

There are DTT broadcast versions of these channels at LCN 57, 58 & 59 which are encrypted for viewing using a BT Vision+ box.

There are also the internet versions of these channels on the Youview EPG at LCN 507, 508 & 509 (510, 511 & 512 for the HD versions) for viewing from a Youview box (originally only those supplied by BT but since yesterday also available to retail Youview box users who have BT Ininity).

The other BT extra internet channels are also on the Youview EPG but there is as yet no process in place to subscribe to those and it is that I am waiting for.

Another question, if i have access to my own youview box does that avoid the activation and contract extension as the need to subsidise a box from bt is not there.

Interesting ... especially as I was flicking through channels last night, on Freeview, and Ch57 was NOT encrypted.

Need to dig the terms and conditions deeper on that one, so not sure is my answer
