Re: homehub help

Homehub recognises my cctv cameras here the same as my billion. Are you talking IP wireless cameras or coaxial. I run both here. Coaxial cameras to DVR in an outbuilding. Used to run via homeplugs, but now ethernet into the router in the house, all of which have hooked to the network with no problem. If running via a HDD DVR, power it with DCHP selected, then deselect once address allocated, so it is retained on the network. IP wireless cameras need to be connected via ethernet first to setup network, then restart unplugged to fire up the wireless. Wi-Fi cameras can hang onto previous settings. A reset can help.

I now see the main problem is the hub is not even seeing the home plugfrown
This setup was working perfectly with the Sky router. So msaybe need to try new router. I think I have an old net gear, somewhere but I don't know how to get my login info from the hub.
it's certainly testing what little grey cells I have left frown

HomePlugs generally do not need an IP address and thus are NOT seen as devices by routers.

Ah, but maybe he means in the sense that you could have said "LETMEIN password needed". The capitalisation of "No" could be taken as significant tongue smile.

But I think you need a module for that. In any case, as he gets away without his wrist slapped, I have decided to mount my high horse and be as pedantic as him!
