You're going to need an Openreach modem if you want to replace the Homehub5.

The null string ("") is a string!

K&R: A string constant is a sequence of zero or more chars surrounded by double quotes. The quotes are not part of the string.

I think something that may have started with a smiley may be getting out of hand.

If there was a joke it was one in poor taste at best, at worst it fits into the category of something that could have real world ramifications.

So nothing to do with who I like or do not like.

What I do not like is your attack on the decision.

"attack" is a little neurotic by way of description of an opinion. We all have things we don't like - Those that go out of their way to get my back up, along with unfair one-sided admin to name just two. Feel free to ban me as and when, I can look after myself in this digital world. >>smile

I have swapped out the home hub and replaced the sky router just to check the powerlinreadapters and cameras were all workin ok. and all cameras came up fine so. I think it must bre the home hub 4's firewall that is blocking them. I'll check the youtube video again & see if I can follow it.
Thanks agsain for the help.
