Why do we call it a letterbox and not a letterslot?

I sometimes wonder if it's good for routers to be dropped on the floor via a letterbox. I know they're packaged in cardboard, but still.

In case the glass of the valves breaks?

I had the same problem, was attempted but failed on a Sat so I had to wait until Monday afternoon to collect from the sorting office!!

Packaged in cardboard, but there's not much padding on the inside in case they land on a hard surface

Fair enough, but luckily I'm off work tomorrow and can pick it up. Should they not say 'will fit through most letter-boxes?'. I had looked forward to playing with my new toy tonight but I'll probably be on here tomorrow asking for help. Is it really just connect up and surf, or can I expect hassle?

I've just had one slight glitch over wifi here, but now I've looked through the menus on my HH5 it will be easy to resolve once I have proved it so, and it is this...

I keep getting momentary disconnects while playing certain games on one particular device, but I have noticed this is connecting on the 5GHz interface rather than the 2.4GHz one (Advanced -> Home Network -> Devices)

Under Advanced -> Wireless, I see that the 5GHz channel is set to automatic, so I could either keep that as manual channel, or force it on the 2.4GHz if I can

Other than that, it's been very smooth (apart from my line speed, but that's a different topic)

Oh I remember those days....it was always the ones who would order the broadsheets on a Sunday, that contained half a tree of extra magazines, that always had the small letterboxes.....and then would complain when you had to break the paper down, section by section, to get it out of the rain.

BT should post you an inflatable rubber mat (in a very small package) a day or so before it posts the HH5.

Installation instructions: inflate and place on floor below letterbox. Insulated, suitable for 220/110/12 volt supplies.
