I've found that using this easy to use tool some blocked sites become available

Looks a little complicated if you ask me mate , must be a easier solution

A couple of clicks and that's it.
Much easier and less time consuming than going into Network>Change adapter settings>LAN>Propertes>etc.etc.
Try it and see - it works for a lot of sites.

How exactly does it work,do I need to download a program or do I just type something in a address bar.

Download the zip file from the link given earlier, uupack it and click dnsjumper.exe to use it- there's nothing to install
Using it is self explanatory and there are images on the site.
Basically click:
Fastest DNS>Find fastest DNS then when it finds the fastest click Apply Fastest DNS and that really is it

Forgot to mention it's a Mac and it's a looks way to complicated for such a simple task but thanks for the info appreciate it....

VPN seems a easier solution

Sorry I can't help with a Mac - the tool only works with Windows.
DNS Jumper is anything but complicated - it's a more long-winded process changing DNS manually

Still, there's no reason not to try manually changing DNS servers on a Mac as it doesn't seem hard from what I've read.
e.g. http://www.plus.net/support/software/dns/changing_dn...

Try Google or OpenDNS servers to start with

I'm totally confused mate at all this stuff,I'm not technically minded to be honest I just get by,turn on mac and look at websites and download stuff .

The best and easiest way at present was to type in the IP address of the site which was provided by a user in this thread....that was quick simple and effective .

I appreciate all your help and support but don't waste any more of your time because it's well over my head

Don't work mate,takes me to the page i used to get on originally which asks are you human and you have to enter a 6 figure code,but that page just loads over and over once you press enter.
