No. Only websites have been blocked by court orders at present.

Isn't that blocked in Sweden, or at least its host country?

No. It's blocked locally by Plusnet.

I would run a mile from BT BB. I signed up to Plusnet a good 18 months ago and not long after, my daughter moved and I (foolishly) allowed her to take the Plusnet account a I was seduced by the 'free' BT Sport offer. I've never really watched much sport on BT and PL games are of course noon KO which isnt ideal. BUT Plusnet rocked, speed, and reliability-wise

more to the point, the BT Fibre service, I've found unreliable; the homeplugs supplied were worse than useless, and BT customer service told me that they'll never actually work correctly. The youview box supplied with the Infinity package was infinitely poor, and has been replaced, the replacement box doesnt seem to want to work with BT Fibre

Should be yeah. Whichever FTTC ISP you choose you'll always be connected to Openreach's DSLAM, and BT Retail have plenty of bandwidth by all accounts.

I know what a proxy is. I was just pointing out that Plusnet isn't always averse to blocking, seemingly even without a court order.

Plusnets service does seem to be very good.

Can only count on BT Sport being free for the rest of this season. Thats 6 months and Although BT Sports free, there a charge for it in HD. The difference is narrowing.

The only real difference is £100 Sainsbury voucher and a free BT Home Hub 5. That or stay with what I know and its good.

billythetipdog - your problems all seem to be hardware related - homeplug, youview box - these arent applicable to me, but point taken about their customer service. I would at least expect the line to be the same in terms of reliability and speed. - How could it not be ?!?

I think you are being rather disingenuous in this thread Oliver . (For others, see my reply to him just now in another thread).

With luck the OP isn't actually bothered by the BT blocks, just doesn't like the principle.
