Sorry I missed this before - it's FTTC.

I think, as has been mentioned, it is just a case of the system requiring arranging me a time-slot for the visit, whether or not the engineer will need access or not. I might have to try and arrange someone to house-sit for me though, just in case.

BT offer self install Infinity 1 only if your speed quote is 40mb, anything less than its an engineer.

Self install for Infinity 2 is close or already available, but you need your speed estimate to be 80mb to get it. Under that and its an engineer

The system will pick self install, if its under 40mb then a date has to be picked.
