New BT Infinity 1

I'm newly registered to the site but, have been reading stuff here for many years.

Anyway, I am currently on BT ADSL on a massively quick 3 Mbps connection! I was on a Homehub 3.

I have ordered BT Infinity 1 to start tomorrow 18 May 2016. I have received and installed my new Homehub 5A. ADSL working fine so, all should be good for tomorrow hopefully.

My Question is; my Email from BT states I should expect a download speed of between 54 - 55 Mbps and upload speed of 9 - 10 Mbps. However, I thought Infinity 1 was max 52 Mbps. So not much difference but, which is correct?

Infinity1 has a SYNC speed of 55Mbps which will translate to a throughput of around 52Mbps. Previously it was 40 & 38 and Infinity2 80 & 76.

What does http://dslchecker.bt.com/ say for your line?

I guess Sync speed of 55 Mbps would explain it.

So unless you have some pretty abysmal wiring in te house and lots of electronic interference you will see a 55000 sync or probably 549xx and a decent throughput.

Getting 51.3 Mbps Down & 9.1 Mbps Up on Ethernet Connection

And 39.4 Mbps Down & 8.8 Mbps Up on WIFI

Only one reboot so far and has been up for 8 days since then. Connection speed 53.71 Mbps Down & 9.765 Mbps Up.
