Sadly, no good
Unit arrived from Amazon, downloaded Netgear genie app on my iPhone ready, then hit a brick wall
The unit was not functioning and refused to accept the password on the underside of the unit
Managed to eventually get through to live chat at Netgear for help, but guy refused to assist me, saying unit was registered to another user?
This despite it being a sealed unit from Amazon
Amazon now refunding in full, so that's good
I'll never buy another Netgear product ever again!

Sounds like someone returned it to Amazon after registering it with Netgear and changing the password. Did you try a Factory reset on it?

That should have made it work, but you'd have had a bit of a problem trying to register it with Netgear if you wanted to. Though that should have been possible with Proof of Purchase. (Your Amazon transaction).

If the password was altered for some reason a factory reset might work.

Edit: slow reply, Roberto beat me to it. smile

Hi - I have just replaced my BTHH5 with this router TP-LINK Archer VR2600. I have had really bad issues trying to connect my ipads to the BT5 via wireless, constantly dropping out and ultra slow speed when, if, it connects at all - gone on for months (fault lies with a BT firmware update apparently). Just plugged this new hub in 20 minutes ago and everything is perfect all over the house - 15mb downloads on all ipads and androids working at same time as 2 PCs and 2 Xboxes and an android telly! WOW! it took my breath away. BTHH5 is now in the bin where it belongs.

Not surprising you've found the VR2600 to be top class, it's arguably the best all in one router as it's a 4 stream wifi Mu-mimo router and uses the latest Broadcom xdsl chipset. Obviously it ain't cheap smile
